If you've been hesitant to sell or trade in your vehicle during the COVID-19 pandemic, now is an excellent time to reconsider.
Recently, I assisted a customer with her Equinox, purchasing her leased vehicle with 12 months of payments remaining. This meant she didn't have to make any more payments and could seamlessly transition into a new car.
The GM Lease Pull Ahead program allows you to exit your current lease and enter a new one without some of the typical costs associated with early lease termination. This program is designed to be easy and convenient, enabling you to drive a new car much sooner.
My customers often have questions about Lease Pull Ahead programs, so I've compiled this FAQ to address common concerns. After reviewing the information below, please explore our new Chevrolet inventory. Feel free to contact me, Terry Thompson, at West Herr Chevrolet Williamsville, or text me at 609-865-8811 with any questions about leasing a car with our Chevy lease offers!
LEASE PULL AHEAD FAQ
Q. Should I consider Pulling Ahead out of My Lease?
A. Consider a Lease Pull Ahead if any of the following apply:
You want to lower your monthly payment.
You've exceeded your allotted miles.
You anticipate exceeding your miles before the lease ends.
Your current vehicle no longer fits your lifestyle.
You are ready for a new vehicle.
Q. How many monthly payments does a typical Lease Pull Ahead program support?
A. Typically, a Lease Pull Ahead program covers a predetermined number of remaining payments, with a maximum value on those payments. For example, GM recently offered a program covering up to 3 remaining payments at a maximum of $1,000. If you were leasing a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu with three payments left at $199 per month, you could turn in your vehicle three months early without owing additional payments.
Q. Do I have to turn in my vehicle to qualify for a Lease Pull Ahead incentive?
A. It depends. Often, the Lease Pull Ahead incentive is a cash incentive. As long as your lease matures within a specific date range, you'll receive the cash incentive to use towards a new vehicle, whether you turn your car in or not.
Q. Does a Lease Pull Ahead incentive stack with other manufacturer incentives?
A. Yes, a Lease Pull Ahead incentive typically stacks with other manufacturer incentives. However, there may be exceptions, so check the manufacturer's website for the specific terms and conditions.
Q. If I take advantage of a Lease Pull Ahead, am I still responsible for excess wear or over-mileage fees?
A. Yes. When you turn in your vehicle, you are still responsible for any excess wear and over-mileage fees. However, manufacturers often include an excess-wear incentive as part of the Lease Pull Ahead program.
